Penang City Private Half Day Tour With Khoo Kongsi & Kek Lok Si

Driver took us around to these older areas and waited patiently for us to walk and experience these historic locations.

Amazing day out - leant a lot about the history of Penang and some background to the development of the heritage buildings. Would highly recommend Robin - a safe pair of hands and a good driver / communicator. As we had explored a lot of Georgetown on our own prior to this tour, we were able to modify the itinerary so as not to repeat stuff we had seen before (eg street art).

Jessie was brilliant! She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much fascinating information about the religions and culture of Malaysia. Our group ranged in age between 4 and 84 years and she made sure to engage and include everyone. One of our party had also sustained a back injury whilst on holiday so the tour was adapted to allow this person to see the main sites and not miss out as much as possible. We were not rushed and given ample time to explore each site - and she answered our many questions! We ran late (because of us exploring each site) so we included a stop for a quick lunch and Jessie helped to choose suitable dishes to share. She identified what was important for us to see of the remainder of the tour. All in all an amazing experience and cannot speak highly enough of Jessie, or our driver Jimmy!

This tour is very complete, in half a day you visit a lot of great places in Penang. Our guide helped us learn a lot about the city. He drove us from point to point while telling about the history and answering our questions.

A great half day tour of many of the historic areas in Penang. The tour guide Ronnie was very knowledgeable of the cultural history of the sites we visited and was able to paint a vivid picture with his stories and descriptions. I was entertained throughout the tour.

We both agreed the visit to Kek Loc Si Temple was the highlight of our holiday. Shawn our tour guide was knowledagble friendly and knows how to get to the front of a queue easily 😂. We took lots of pictures and certainly had a wow moment. We then went to Khoo Konsi and again Shawn knew so much about the history that brought something special to the visit... We then walked around the Georgetown heritage site and took plenty of photos of the street art and found things we wouldn't have if we travelled independently. We walked to old the jetty, fire station and little India before going back to Fort Cornwallis fort. Part of the fort was undergoing renovation so we had limited things to view. Overall we enjoyed the day and even travelling in between sights Shawn have us great insight into Malaysian culture.. Thank you we really enjoyed it.

My guide had a great knowledge about Penang history and shared the hidden stories in the past. He dropped by street food stall to have Char Koay Teow. It was amazing, super delicious! I enjoyed Penang workers daily lunch very much.

The guide has so much knowledge and is so nice. Full 5 hours trip, lots of Temples, love it! The guide went inside with us, explains everything. definitely recommended

This was a great tour that hit the highlights of Penang. Then you could return to your favorite spots. It was interesting to see the similarities and differences of the various temples.
